For me, the journey starts long before I reach the destination.

I genuinely love the whole airport experience, especially when it includes a comfortable lounge, good Wi-Fi and, of course, a little glass of bubbles. It gives me a place to slow down, open my laptop and get some work done, have something to eat or simply relax before a flight.

On longer journeys, those little extras can make me ridiculously happy and make such a difference. I love being able to skip a long queue with fast track, take a shower between flights or find somewhere comfortable to rest. And then there are those unexpected little luxuries, like discovering in Thailand that I could actually get a massage in the lounge while waiting for my flight. Now that is my kind of layover.
